What is an "applicant tracking system" (ATS)?
An applicant tracking system, otherwise known as an A.T.S., is a means of recruiting, tracking and managing your applicants. Historically, this used to be done via receiving paper applications and hopefully filing that information somewhere for tracking purposes. Now, paper applications are a thing of the past. Adopting an A.T.S. means you'll have your own branded career center for your web site. You can have it setup however you want, but usually the hiring manager for the particular job gets automatically emailed a four page report which ranks and scores the applicant's strengths and weaknesses for that particular job. In addition, you can view reports for all of the applicants that have applied for any position, company-wide, at any time by logging into the online database.
Why do companies use this kind of system?
They use this kind of system to recruit, screen, identify and hire the best person for the position. There is no better way to recruit and hire the best people than to use modern technology to tell you exactly who to hire! This way is becoming the norm, and whether or not you're utilizing it will determine where you are in the market trend/curve at this point.
What is a "diagnostic"?
A "diagnostic" or a "test" is a series of questions which can scientifically identify, based on the applicant's responses, the likelihood that that person will be successful in that position. Diagnostics are scientifically correlated and validated for performance.
What is a "selection profiling system" and how is this different than a screening system?
Selection systems or selection diagnostics are comprised of hundreds of questions which can scientifically identify, based on the applicant's responses, the likelihood that that person will be successful in that position. These profiles are much more lengthly than the screening process, and provide a much more comprehensive assessment as to whether the person can do the job. These are typically administered after the screening and interviewing process and when decisions are made on the final candidates.
What is the difference between screening and selection?
Screening is seen in an online recruiting system which asks the applicant a series of questions, then "screens in" and "screens out" the best and worst applicants for the job. This allows a hiring manager to peruse a database of applicants and scores to determine (via selection) who he or she should interview and continue on with through the hiring process.

What do I do if I cannot log in to the Admin Center?
It could be a couple of different things. The most common reason is your privacy setting is too high. Follow these steps:

1. Go to TOOLS at the top of your browser
2. Go to INTERNET OPTIONS
3. Go to the PRIVACY tab
4. Make sure the bar is on low to accept all cookies.

What if I have deleted the email with the Manager's Report? Is there a way to still view that candidate's profile?
Yes, you can log onto the PredictiveProfiles website through the "Admin Center" and view reports through the "Candidate Tracker". Click here to download a reference manual.
